Important Letter from Mrs. Kam regarding Grad Night:

March 18, 2016

Parents and Class of 2016,

We are quickly approaching the end of the year activities, which revolve around your graduates and their events!  I recently announced to the senior girls that we would not be participating in the

Tri School Grad Night at the Titan student center at CSF.  There are some students who want to go, despite the difficult timing of the event.  So, to make this a matter of parents’ choice and not the school’s, our girls are welcome to go to the Tri School Grad Night if you care to have them involved.

This is the problem:  Our Baccalaureate Mass and Reception are here at Connelly from 4-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 5th.  Many graduates have extended family and friends visiting for the occasion and others go out to celebrate. If your daughter were to attend the Tri School Grad Night, she would need to be on campus in Fullerton at 9:30 p.m. (3 hours after our event).  The Grad Night lasts until 5 a.m. (though you may go earlier than that to pick up your daughter, but it must be a parent picking up).  Then your daughter has from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. (8 hours) to get some sleep and to arrive at Connelly dressed and ready for photographs and the graduation ceremony.  You can see our concern.  The timing is not good for our graduates, but Rosary and Servite will have had their graduations on that Saturday afternoon.

This is why we had just out of hand decided to not participate, but there are girls who, despite our concerns, would like to attend.  The cost of the Tri School Grad Night is $100 and payable now.  If you would like to have your daughter participate, please send a check for $100 to Servite High School accompanied by a letter stating that it is for your daughter’s admission to Grad Night and directing it to be deposited in the Grad Night account. Here is Servite’s address:

Servite High School
Attn: Business Office
1952 W. La Palma Ave.
Anaheim, CA 92801

If your daughter will be attending, please let me know, as we are responsible for checking in the Connelly girls at the start of the event.

We will also have Disneyland Grad Nite on Wednesday, June 1st, leaving campus by bus immediately after our graduation practice.  This is an overnight event from 12 noon on Wednesday to pick up at Connelly by 9 a.m.  The cost for this event is also $110 and due to the Connelly Business Office no later than Monday, April 4th upon returning from Easter Vacation, absolutely no exception. We must buy the tickets as a block and at least 45 days before the event.  We will be unable to accommodate ticket purchases after April 4th.

Please consider these two events carefully and decide what is right for your daughter and your family.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Gloria Kam
Senior Class Grade Level Coordinator
