Where are Connelly alumnae now?

Gigi Ibrahim '05 is featured in OCMetro's March 2013 edition and tops the list in the article titled "20 Women to Watch." Click here to read the full story on the OCMetro site. The article mentions that Gigi is an alumna of Connelly. Gigi continues to report from Cairo as a journalist and political activist during the ongoing turmoil in Egypt. She recently wrote to us about her fond memories of Connelly: "I always remember the special time and gifted knowledge Connelly provided me in my education and I never forget the sense of community and belonging I felt there. I carry that now as I take part in the Egyptian revolution as a proud Egyptian, who hopes someday to achieve freedom - what we called out for when millions of Egyptian people went on the streets giving their blood for it. I hope all of us may cherish the love that we get from our communities, because at the end of the day as long as you belong to something great, you will never be alone."

Suzanne Vogel Hunt '68 wrote on (September 4, 2012): "I've been retired for a couple of years now, living in Brea, CA. I'm still a busy mother to 5 grown children, and grandmother to 3. I volunteer in my grandkids' school and at the local library. My husband Roger and I are also singer/songwriters who perform together at churches, yoga studios and private homes."

My husband (Roger) recently had a full knee replacement and is still recovering from that very painful procedure. Other than that, life on Puget Sound in Washington state is just lovely, and COOL! If anyone wants to look up Hansville, WA on the internet, you will see how very rural our 15 acres of horse property is. We do not have a bank, nor a gas station, nor anything but a bait/tackle/mini-store. We do, however, have the most lovely view of cruise ships gliding by out of Seattle on their voyages up to Alaska and down to Mexico."
