Tri-School Theatre was born out of a vision to create a theatre arts training program for students attending the three Catholic, single-sex high schools in North Orange County: Cornelia Connelly School and Servite High School in Anaheim, and Rosary High School in Fullerton. Since its inception in 1988, the program has grown into a four-year Performing Arts Conservatory which now includes training in Musical Theatre, Acting, Movement, Shakespeare, Improvisation, Technical Theatre, Playwriting, and an Individualized Mentorship Program. A Charter was developed in 1994 formally establishing the Tri-School Theatre Program into the curriculum of each of the three participating schools. The Conservatory operates out of the 980 seat, fully-equipped Servite Theatre.
Tri-School Theatre maintains an active membership in the International Thespian Honor Society and attends the California State Festival each year. Over the years, Tri-School Theatre students have been awarded substantial scholarships from the California State Thespian Organization for college and summer theatre programs.

Comedy Sportz:
Have you ever seen the show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Well you'll be learning how to play improv games like those, and competing against other 'athletes' in matches, which are performances. The matches are refereed and the audience decides who wins. It's not actually competitive: we don't keep track of who wins or loses, and we switch the teams often.
This is open to anyone who wants to give it a shot: athletes, actors, etc! The greatest thing about Comedy Sportz is that YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE FUNNY. You just have to be positive, enthusiastic, and willing to have a good time. We'll teach you the rest.
Cappies Critics Program:
Be part of the theater critic team! See and review shows from Orange County high schools! Vote on performance and technical awards for students! Attend a formal awards ceremony like the Tonys! Meet students from other high schools! Be eligible to win awards for writing!
Two reviews for each show are published on the Orange County Register website and in local papers, like the Anaheim Bulletin and Fullerton Tribune.
Apply to be a part of the Cappies critic team for Tri-School Theatre! Between 6 and 9 students will be accepted as team members.
This is open to students who:
-
Are strong writers who can meet deadlines
-
Want to learn how to write professional reviews
-
Enjoy theatre and have a good understanding of productions
-
Are willing to attend 5 or more shows at other high schools
