FOOLS
Written by Neil Simon
Directed by Hillary Pearson
Imagine a world where everyone is cursed with pure stupidity. For almost two hundred years, the imaginary Ukranian village of Kulyenchikov has been under this particular curse. But there is hope! A young schoolteacher named Leon arrives in town to teach Sophia, a beautiful young woman who is so foolish that she has just learned how to sit. If Leon can educate her in one day, the curse will be lifted. If he fails, he will also be cursed, and become just as stupid as the rest of the town. Can he defeat the evil Count Gregor, whose ancestor originally cursed the town? Or will he fall to the curse like every teacher before him? Underneath all of the laughter, there lies a powerful lesson - Knowledge belongs to everyone, as long as you believe in your own capabilities.
