Surf's Up! The surf club meets on weekends to participate in surf lessons and beach cleanups. The surf club believes that our oceans are precious resources which need to be respected, protected and appreciated. The ocean serves as a resource of livelihood, relaxation and enjoyment for many.
Surf lessons are taught by the M & M Surf School, located in the parking lot just North of the Seal Beach Pier. Lessons are $45 per lesson. Soft top surfboards and wetsuits are provided. Lessons are from 8 to 11 a.m. (Be prompt!) After a morning of surf, we occasionally participate in beach cleanups associated with saveourbeach.org. (Ecology service hours granted.) We head over to the First Street Beach parking lot (corner of Ocean and First in the River's End restaurant parking lot), just down the street from our surf spot. Saveourbeach.org provides gloves and bags.
