A Focus on World Hunger
March 27, 2009

On Friday, March 27, Connelly observed Operation Rice Bowl, a Catholic Relief Services Program focusing on hunger around the world.  A lunch of plain rice was served and students listened to a speaker from Catholic Relief Services talk about work with the poor throughout the world.  Students were asked to contribute what they would have paid for their regular lunch to Catholic Relief Services to help care for the poor in our global society.

"The dedicated and supportive teachers and faculty, the energetic and welcoming students, the openness and comfort of the campus, I knew Connelly was the school for me."
Katherine, Class of 2011

"I had a pretty remarkable experience at Connelly. I think it was the catalyst for my university acceptance. I owe the rest of my life decisions and career choice to that experience at Connelly."
