Sophomores win "Best Play" of Class Plays

Three judges watched and reviewed this year's collection of Class Plays: Amy Luskey-Barth, Mary Chalon and Lance Davis.

Amy Luskey-Barth returns annually to judge Connelly's Class Plays. Amy holds a Master's degree in pastoral counseling from Trinity College of Graduate Studies and a Bachelor's degree in fine arts from USC. Amy founded Tri-School Theatre for Connelly, Rosary and Servite. She began her teaching career at Connelly. She has served as Director of Educational Theatre for the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. She is currently the Director of Theatre Arts for Santa Margarita Catholic High School.

Mary Chalon is CoFounder of Parson's Nose in Pasadena. She has acted in theater on television and she has taught acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Art, SpeakEasy, and as the Director of Children's Ministry at Saint James' Episcopal Church. She also has co-produced and directed several productions. In 2011, she was voted one of the "Fifty Fabulous Women of Pasadena."

Lance Davis is a professional actor who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Notre Dame and a Master's degree of fine arts from the University of Minnesota. He performed five seasons with the Tyrone Guthrie Theater Company; performed in 100 professional stage productions on, off and off, off Broadway; and performed in several television shows including Twin Peaks, Murphy Brown and Roseanne.
