                                                                      Family Service Hours

The purpose of the Family Service Hours Program is to encourage parent participation in the life of the school and provide opportunities to share memorable experiences in your teenage daughter's life. When a school enjoys a high level of parent participation, the educational experience of the students is significantly enhanced. In the spirit of community, parents also get to know one another and create lasting friendships, while assisting the school to provide valuable programs, and to support fundraisers that keep school expenses down.

Each family is required to serve on at least one committee or participate in at least one event/activity per year, with a minimum of 20 hours.  Students are not allowed to serve hours in lieu of their parents.

The following activities "count" for Family Service Hours:

Volunteering for a teacher / staff person, club, athletic team, event, committee.

School events include meetings, conferences, games, performances, and fundraisers.

Anyone who serves as a committee member of the Board of Trustees or on the Parents
Association Board, or as a committee chair or event chair will automatically receive 20
                          hours credit.

If you are unable to complete 20 hours, you will be billed $10.00 for each hour not completed.

A number of volunteer opportunities are listed above.  For additional opportunities or questions, please contact Nicole Llido, Director of Special Events and Parent Relations, at (714) 776-1717 ext. 21.

Sign-in sheets will be provided at school functions for which service hour credit is given.  To claim your service hours for participation at these events, please make sure to sign in.  You may also claim your hours by downloading and completing this form and turning it in to the school office.

Family Service Hours can be tracked on Ed-line. Hours will be updated on the first Monday of each month.
