81 High School Freshmen Certified for CPR
February 22, 2008

On Friday, February 22, the entire Freshman Class at Connelly High School in Anaheim was trained and certified to perform lifesaving CPR.  This required class is implemented through the physical education/health curriculum for all freshmen annually. Training for the past four years has been provided by Barbara Liscotti, an instructor with University Training Center in Irvine and certified by the American Red Cross.  Faculty and staff are trained and certified during Orientation Week in August.   Students, faculty and staff learn the newest method of CPR, the difference between providing CPR to infants and adults, and how to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on children and adults.
